Major academic contributions
● The first to discover that PI-3K is a key signal molecule in tumorigenesis (malignant transformation of cells) and was the first to use it in the research of tumor prevention. This discovery initiated the research and development of small molecule anti-tumor drugs using PI-3K as a target molecule for cancer treatment, and related drugs of several drug companies are currently undergoing clinical trials and applications;
● Discovered and put forward a new mechanism of double positive feedback activation pathway that causes persistent chronic lung inflammation in the occurrence and development of lung cancer caused by environmental carcinogens;
● New discovery of biological effect of arsenic mediated by P50;
● Discovered the key role of XIAP RING domain in tumor metastasis;
● Discovered and confirmed that XIAP E3 ligase played an important role in BBN-induced primary basal muscle invasive bladder cancer.
1. Study on the molecular mechanism of lung cancer induced by environmental carcinogens;
2. Study on the molecular mechanism of tumor invasion and metastasis;
3. Screening and identifying new anti-tumor drugs and related molecular mechanisms of anti-tumor effects.
Led by Huang Chuanshu as the academic leader, our team comprises five associate researchers, two research assistants, six doctoral candidates, and more than ten master's students. The members of our group are youthful, vibrant, and brimming with creativity and innovation.
Our research primarily focuses on the carcinogenic molecular mechanisms of environmental carcinogens, the molecular mechanisms of cancer invasion and metastasis, and the anti-tumor mechanisms of anti-cancer drugs. We delve into the regulatory mechanisms of protein kinases, transcription factors and their target genes, and protein modifications, among others. Our studies aim to understand the response mechanisms of mammalian cells to environmental carcinogens, the molecular mechanisms of cancer invasion and metastasis, and identify target molecules for the prevention and treatment of cancer, addressing significant scientific inquiries in these areas.
1) Candidates must possess a doctoral degree in disciplines such as biology, medicine, toxicology, or pharmacology.
2) have strong collaborative abilities and the capacity to solve problems independently, coupled with high academic ethical standards.
3) have a track record of scientific research achievements, having published high-quality research papers as the first author in relevant fields.
Our team is continuously seeking candidates for positions such as postdoctoral researchers, associate researchers, and research assistants. Interested individuals are invited to submit your detailed resumes to huangchuanshu@hotmail.com (Huang Chuanshu), with the subject line "Application for Position + Name."
