Dr.Wu is a fellow of USA Bascom Palmer Eye Research Institute, Senior Visiting Scholar of Australian Royal Adelaide Hospital, Dean of Ophthalmology Hospital affiliated to Wenzhou Medical University, Dean of School of Ophthalmology and Bioengineering of Wenzhou Medical University, Chief Scientist of National Key R&D Plan in the 13th Five-Year Plan and the 14th Five-Year Plan, and Founder of International Eye-nose Related Minimally Invasive Surgery. He is the first to put forward a new strategy of "TON minimally invasive surgical intervention", the first to create a large animal model of bionic TON, and independently developed the first neurobiological microtubule with drug controlled release function that can induce axonal directional growth in the world. The team of "Precision Orbital Minimally Invasive Surgery" led by him was selected as the "Wenzhou High-level Innovation Team" in 2019.
